One ultimate cookie batter makes 4 different varieties of chewy, delicious cookies with the extras stirred in!
When I sent my first child off to school I had dreams of him getting off the school bus and him coming home to warm cookies and a tall glass of chocolate milk. The cookies would come out from the oven at the perfect time before heading to the bus, the kitchen would be sparkling from top to bottom, and dinner would be in the works! POP.
That dream was quickly deflated and reality set in. Oh, there were amazing cookies as I sweat to get them out of the oven before the bus. The kitchen looked a mess and there was no sight of dinner anywhere. The whole night would operate from behind, at least the cookies and chocolate milk were great!
At the sight of my sweet boy and sweet girls I would leave the dirty kitchen, the not yet started dinner, and roll around on the floor playing matchbox cars and princesses!
Fast forward 5 years and we have the school routine down to a science especially now that sports and extracurriculars are rolled into the mix. Now we are serving up the ultimate cookies made fresh and then frozen if there are any leftovers!
