Throwback Thursday-Stuffed Cheesesteak

We love this stuffed cheesesteak and the pictures featured here in my beginning days of blogging do not even do this delicious dish justice! This cheesesteak is the perfect weekend or game day dish!
I am excited to feature this yummy dish for this week’s throwback Thursday!

Using pizza dough and steak this stuffed cheesesteak is full of flavor and this great meaty cheesy doughy combination will have you going back for more. Armed with steak seasoning and garlic powder I get to making this get in my belly dish.  I serve this with a pile of seasoned French Fries!

What you need to make the Cheesesteak:
2 lbs of thin sliced top round choice beef…sliced into thin strips
2 pizza doughs…I buy already made dough from the grocery store
12 slices of cheese…our favorites to use are a combination of Provolone and Colby Jack
Steak seasoning
Garlic powder

Canola oil
*I usually make one plain, and one with sauteed onions, peppers, and mushrooms*

Cooking Directions:
Preheat Oven to 375°
Heat up a little oil in a frying pan,  season meat with 1/2 teaspoon steak seasoning and  1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, cook strips of meat until just brown
Divide meat in half
Roll out each pizza dough into a square
At one end of the dough place strips of meat, add two slices of cheese and repeat two more times
Add sauteed veggies..optional
Lift up the pizza dough at each corner beginning with the filled side and begin to roll until you reach the other end
Pinch seams together and lay in pan seam side down
Brush a little oil over top dough and sprinkle steak seasoning and garlic powder
Bake at 375° for 25 minutes until top is golden brown
Slice up and enjoy!!

Give your cheesesteak something extra that really packs a flavor punch by adding sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms
