I have been craving warm, homemade soft pretzels! I went back into my archives to find this recipe and thought it was a great one to share for Throwback Thursday!
There is nothing like sinking your teeth into a warm, fresh, soft pretzel! There are some places that make amazing soft pretzels but there are times when you just can’t get to those places and you got to have a soft pretzel..and not the frozen kind either..it’s just not the same!
So, I set out to create a pretzel bite to satisfy my craving and I paired it alongside my favorite homemade raspberry honey dijon mustard pretzel dip! The fun part about making them at home is that the kids got to help roll out the dough and create their own shapes. While I made pretzel bites my kids made hearts, princess wands and light sabers!
We met with success and satisfied a craving as we enjoyed lots of warm, fresh, soft pretzel bites and dip!

- 1/4 cup dijon whole grain mustard
Preheat Oven to 375F
- Instructions For A Bread Machine:
- Place ingredients in order of the list above
- Place in the bread maker on the dough setting
- When dough is finished place on a lightly floured surface
- Divide into pieces, roll each piece of dough out to a rope shape
- Cut the rope into bites
- Use a knife to make a slit on top
- For The Glaze:
- Mix together egg white and water
- Brush on top of each pretzel bite
- Sprinkle salt on top
- Bake at 375F for 12-18 minutes or until golden brown on top

- To Make Pretzel Bite Pull Aparts:
- I had some extra dough leftover and I decided to shape them into rolls and with a knife cut a deep criss-cross. Brush with glaze, and sprinkle with salt. Bake at 375F for 15-18 minutes. I loaded up the middle with some pretzel dip and it makes the perfect pretzel bite pull-apart!
- Enjoy 🙂
