#NationalCerealDay Party

General Mills sent some happy mail our way to celebrate #NationalCerealDay! In celebration of Cereal Day, General Mills cereal send us some boxes of cereal! All opinions are my own!

I received some happy mail last week! I had just pulled into the driveway and I could see this big brown box on the front porch. It was covered in bright stickers and as I go closer I could see what the stickers said. Happy National Cereal Day!

Smiling ear to ear, I picked the box up, brought it into the house and used my house key to open it! This happy mail is a Cereal Party in a box!

After the kids went to bed that night I got to work putting together this party! The next morning they came out to one great cereal party surprise! We were having such a great time we called some friends up to join us!

Check out below as we reveal our Tips To Hosting A Cereal Party! We had a really great time hosting our little get-together that was filled with fun, laughter, lots of colors and, of course, lots of amazing cereal!

With our cereal, we served 3 types of milk in these old style glass milk jars. We had regular milk, chocolate milk, and vanilla almond milk! We had colorful paper straws standing by just in case someone wanted to sip some milk from these cool bottles!

In a cereal bowl at the end of the table, you will find some string, scissors, and tape! The kids created cereal necklaces that looked great! A cereal snack to last all day long!

Tips For Hosting A Cereal Party:

*Create a backdrop: We created the cereal bar right at our breakfast bar. To create a great backdrop, we used foam board and decorated it with a sign, banner, and some party decorations! You could also push a table against a wall and use the wall in the same manner.

*Get decked out: Add some flavor to your table with party decorations! We used party blowers, shredded color paper, and prizes that you would find inside of a cereal box!

*Put out everything your guests will need to enjoy the food before them: Grab lots of bowls and spoons in different sizes, shapes and colors! We stacked the bowls high and used a painted mason jar to hold the spoons!

*Serve the cereal in different ways: We placed small bowls of cereal on the table so that you could grab a handful, we had bowls of cereal snack mix ready to munch on, and we had the boxes of cereal out so you could have a variety to choose from!

*Have a fun project planned: The cereal bowl filled with string, scissors, and tape were great for the fun project of cereal necklaces!

*Send your guests home with a little gift: We used party bags and ties for friends to scoop some cereal to take home!

My favorite part of my happy mail was this handmade bowl that General Mills had created for me!
