Each year we take out the cookie cutters, sprinkles, frosting, and rolling pins to create our cut out cookies! We have done different flavor cookies through the years and this year we decided to change it up a bit and make Molasses cut out cookies!
These cookies have a rich molasses flavor and when rolled in sugar these molasses cookies are extra sweet!
While the kids used their cookie cutters to create holiday shapes and cover them in sprinkles, I began rolling this dough into balls and in sugar for a classic molasses cookie.
Tomorrow we are heading to a Christmas party and bringing a plateful of these along! We are also putting some molasses cut out cookies in gingerbread house treat boxes and giving some of these sweet treats to friends!
