6 Life Lessons From Disney’s Big Hero 6:
Choose Your Friends Wisely:
Tadashi had some really amazing friends! So amazing that they were willing to look out for his little kid brother Hiro. They cheered him on and helped him out when he wanted so badly to get into nerd school. They let Hiro turn them into cool super heroes to face the enemy that stole the microbots and Tadashi’s life.
We are always telling our kids to surround themselves with people that bring out the best in them. It’s so important to make healthy friendships because who you surround yourself with is a reflection of your character.
Believe In Yourself:
One trip to Tadashi’s school San Fransokyo’s Institute of Technology had Hiro wanting to be apart of the robotics department. He wanted to learn, create, and work with amazing things. Tadashi encouraged him to submit his work at their big annual expo.
Hiro goes home to create something spectacular to share. As he sits at his desk he is met with some obstacles and frustration, but he never gave up! The end result is a microbot, a creation that wowed everyone at the expo.
Hiro believed in himself, and he was confident in what he created.
Dream BIG:
Nothing could stop Hiro when he put his mind to something! He knew how to dream big when he created microbots, upgraded Baymax, and turning his friends from ordinary to extraordinary!
Show Compassion:
Baymax was not able to power down until Hiro said that he was satisfied with his care. He was programmed to care for others and have compassion on them. He never gave up on caring for Hiro until the job was complete.
It Is What’s Inside That Counts:
Baymax had a chip inside in the same place where humans have their heart. Tadashi wrote an entire program based on providing health care needs. Hiro was able to create another Baymax at the end because it was what was inside that counted. Hiro took the chip and created Baymax the way that Tadashi had.
Think Outside The Box:
Hiro had to dream big, think quick, and come up with one great idea to capture the villain. He couldn’t do it on his own and with the help of Baymax and his friends Hiro was able to create superhero gear for everyone. He had to be creative, thinking outside the box allowed him to put together one good looking super hero team. It was thinking outside the box and some faced paced moments that led this unlikely group to discover the face behind Tadashi’s death, and the stolen microbots.
