DIY Fridge Magnet Pictures

I have always loved displaying pictures on the refrigerator. After awhile they become discolored, start to curl at the edges, or become faded with time. I thought that I would fix the problem with magnet picture frames and they were great until a layer of dust began to collect. I was looking for a way to preserve my pictures while displaying them nicely! These DIY Fridge Magnet Pictures use scrapbook paper, photo glue or tape, magnets, a glue gun and a way to laminate the paper. I traded discolored, curling, dusty photos for these nice, always stay in place and never dusty DIY fridge magnet pictures!

You start out with choosing some scrapbook paper! I love looking at all the different types and textures of scrapbook paper! I decided to go with paper that matches the colors of my kitchen.
Next, gather the pictures that you would like to display. Arrange them on each piece of paper. Once they are in place secure them using photo safe glue or tape!  I chose to arrange my pictures according to themes. I did one of just my kids, one for extended family, one for friends. I even added in a note my hubby wrote me one morning, and some fancy letters to fill in the gaps.

With the pictures in place, it’s time to laminate! You can either use an at home laminating machine, buy a packet of laminating sheets, or take them to Staples to have each sheet laminated. I took mine to Staples and found that they were fairly inexpensive and they did a great job!
After the sheets are laminated, hot glue magnets to the back.

It’s time to display your precious pictures! Now you can enjoy them and never worry about them again! I plan to update the fridge every couple of years with new pictures, and when I do the old pictures will go right into a family scrapbook!
