Parmesan Rosemary Pinwheels
These savory, melt in your mouth pinwheels look festive and delicious when arranged in the shape of a wreath. This Pampered Chef recipe is another holiday fave of our family. Its simple to make as an appetizer or part of the main meal and I promise it won’t last long! Below is a recipe card for you to print out and have on hand when making these amazing savory rolls or sharing them with friends and family!
Place cream cheese in a small bowl. Grate Parmesan cheese over bowl. Chop rosemary, add to cheese mixture. Mix well.
For added decoration use red peppers and an apple corer to create a round berry, put sprigs of rosemary on the wreath and place red pepper over top. For the bow use roasted red peppers and cut to shape! Enjoy 🙂
Holiday Ornaments
I love decorating this time of year because there is no shortage of fun, creative DIY projects! And there’s tons of glitter! Thankfully I discovered glitter glue last year for creating Christmas ornaments! The possibilities are endless from using your own supplies of paper, glue, glitter, crayons, markets to checking out what the stores have in a ready to go box! We do a combination of both homemade and ready to go! Its a great night when the Christmas carols are softly playing in the background, there’s spills all over the counter from hot chocolate, a scramble to grab more marshmallows, and squirts of glitter glue, paper, foam, pom poms galore, stick and glue on gems taking over and the kids clamoring and reaching for every last little thing possible to make their ornament the best! Ahhh, good times 🙂
We hang our homemade ornaments on the tree, use them as gift toppers, and use them to make holiday cards!
We Celebrate JOY – Jesus, Others,You
This has become a little catch phrase around our house to remind each other to put Jesus first, others second and yourself third.
One of the ways that our family has chosen to do this is to see what needs others have this holiday season by checking out our church’s giving tree. Our church has changed it up a bit this year…instead of purchasing a gift to leave under the tree to be delivered, they put up all the different organizations we give to, partner up with or help out with throughout the year. They had some amazing choices and my kids were taking tags off the tree quicker than I could process how they were quickly adding up! I am sharing our top picks today with you! If you and your family are looking for ways to give back this season these organizations are worth taking a look at!
I have also seen Giving Trees placed throughout our community…the community center, the senior center, the library, the school and the grocery store! Look for a giving tree near you today!
