These cake mix cookies are the perfect cookie for a celebration! They are simple to make and sweet to eat!
These cake mix cookies are festive and just shout out celebrate! These cookies are recipe number six for the cookie countdown to Christmas, and they are also here to celebrate my one year blogging journey! Whoo Hoo!
I can hardly believe that it has been a year since my blog journey has begun! I can not even believe that time has gone by that quickly. I have learned many, many things, have met extraordinarily creative people, and have had the time of my life crafting and creating memories to share with all of you!
I have experienced some really proud blogging moments, some really frustrating blogging moments, and have even put on 5 blogging pounds from taste testing all the dishes we create! 🙂
Here’s the inside scoop of three kids and a fish, some blogging highlights from the past year, and the recipe for these amazingly delicious cake mix cookies!
Thank you for celebrating my blogging birthday with me and for taking the time to read all the things that our family does to take time to make memories!
What’s in a name:
I tried out so many names for my blog before landing on three kids and a fish. Since this blog began we have had nine fish and we can not seem to keep them alive.
So now we are the proud family owners of hermit crabs! My brother in law joked that I should re- name the blog three kids and a hermit crab. Then we had one of the hermit crabs die, and the name three kids and a fish had already stuck!
Maybe one day we will own fish again so we can live up to the name!
What’s in the mission:
Taking time to make memories is the mission that I came up with for three kids and a fish.
Everything that you see here from our cooking creations to our life lessons reflects the things that we are doing together to make memories that will last a life time!
What’s in the profile:
The first line of my profile is inspired by a song by Matthew West where he sings about being a child of the one true King.
I am married to an amazing marathon man! He is on a mission to do 50 races in all 50 states! He started last year and we are 5 states along the journey!
Our three kids bring us pure joy, lots of laughter, and at times can stretch our parenting and patience further than we ever knew it could go!
Everywhere that life takes us and in everything that we do we look to take time to make memories!
I just recently asked my hubby to build a hope chest for each of our kids so that we can take some tangible things from the memories we create and keep them safe for them to be shared for generations to come!
What’s in a journey:
I have read and researched tons about the blogging world and their are days when I feel like I have only skimmed the surface!
Very early on I discovered the importance of link parties and connecting with other bloggers! It is because of these amazing link parties that I have met some truly gifted bloggers and have been able to connect with them to guest post and become contributors on their blogs, as well as learn from their blogging journeys.
I was also given the {Liebster Award} and an opportunity to be able to be apart of the {tour through blogland}!
Since deciding to monetize I have been blessed with some amazing oopportunitiesto be a brand influencer! Pinterest has changed my life and it always excites me to be able to pin creative ideas and to see mine get pinned as well! Three kids and a fish is now on {facebook}! Stay up to date with our latest memories by following us!
Thank you for being there along the journey as three kids and a fish continues to grow! We are very excited about the great things that are ahead and we feel blessed to have you apart of the journey!
