Marshmallow Pretzel Treats Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 cups pretzels
- 10 mini candy bars-I used snickers-chopped
- 1 bag mini marshmallows
- ¼ cup butter
- 2 cups chocolate candy melts
- ½ teaspoon canola oil
- 2 Tablespoons caramel sauce-ice cream topping
- 2 Tablespoons peanuts-chopped
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 baking dish with wax or parchment paper, or you can just grease the bottom with cooking spray.
- In a microwave safe bowl melt the butter.
- Add the marshmallows and stir until coated with the butter, place back into microwave for 1 minute.
- Add the pretzels, stir until combined.
- Add chopped snickers candy bars and stir well.
- In another microwave safe bowl put the chocolate candy melts and oil. Microwave for 25 seconds, stir and repeat until completely melted. Spread evenly on the bottom on the baking dish.
- Spread the marshmallow pretzel layer over top the chocolate, press down until evenly spread.
- Microwave the caramel topping on 20 seconds or until it becomes liquidity, drizzle evenly over top the marshmallow pretzel layer.
- Sprinkle crushed peanuts over top.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Enjoy this sweet salty sticky treat! 🙂
Notes
You may have to work quickly to get the marshmallow pretzel layer down on top of the chocolate before it hardens. If it hardens a bit, no worries the heat from the marshmallow pretzels will make it soft again. For a peanut free option use milky way or twix candy bars and use chocolate chips instead of peanuts for the finishing touch!
