It is no secret that one of our family’s favorite sweet combinations is peanut butter and chocolate! We enjoy stirring up this delicious combination in almost everything even our yogurt. Have you ever had peanut butter and nutella swirled into vanilla yogurt! {delicious}
The days have gone from the heat of summer to crisp fall and we are in the mood to bake something sweet. Classic peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips and peanut butter cups swirled in send this cookie out of this world. Our aprons are on, our sleeves are rolled up, and our baking dishes are ready to go! Let’s get baking these Double Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies!
We set out everything that we need and even sample some of the chocolate while we stir. These baking moments are time well spent with my girls as we bake and chat!
- 1 stick butter- softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup peanut butter cups- chopped
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- Preheat Oven to 350F
- In a mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugars.
- Stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
- Add in the egg and vanilla, mix well.
- Slowly stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add in the chopped peanut butter cups and chocolate chips.
- Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on greased cookie sheet.
- Using a wet fork press down on cookie dough to make vertical and horizontal fork marks.
- Bake at 350F for 9-12 minutes depending if you like your cookies chewy or crunchy!
