Heart Shaped Cake Mix Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 box-16.5 ounce cake mix-any type-I used yellow cake mix
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup sprinkles-divided
  • 1 tubfrosting-any flavor
  • 1 cup M&Ms
  • heart shaped cookie cutters

Instructions
  1. Preheat Oven 350F
  2. In a bowl mix together cake mix, oil, and eggs. Blend well.
  3. Stir in ¼ cup sprinkles.
  4. Take 1 Tablespoon dough, roll into a ball, and then press down.
  5. Take heart shaped cookie cutter and press into dough.
  6. Repeat until all dough is used.
  7. We made little hearts and big hearts. Place on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Some of the cookies loose the heart shape while baking, so after the cookies have cooled for 2 minutes I pressed the cookie cutter into the cookie to recreate the shape.
  9. We put the leftover cookie edges in a bowl and tossed them with powdered sugar and my blonde sweet girl called them cookie curls!
  10. When the cookies are completely cooled decorate with frosting, sprinkles, and M&Ms!
  11. Yields: 24 big hearts and 15 small hearts
  12. Enjoy!
