Heart Shaped Cake Mix Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 box-16.5 ounce cake mix-any type-I used yellow cake mix
- ⅓ cup oil
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup sprinkles-divided
- 1 tubfrosting-any flavor
- 1 cup M&Ms
- heart shaped cookie cutters
Instructions
- Preheat Oven 350F
- In a bowl mix together cake mix, oil, and eggs. Blend well.
- Stir in ¼ cup sprinkles.
- Take 1 Tablespoon dough, roll into a ball, and then press down.
- Take heart shaped cookie cutter and press into dough.
- Repeat until all dough is used.
- We made little hearts and big hearts. Place on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Some of the cookies loose the heart shape while baking, so after the cookies have cooled for 2 minutes I pressed the cookie cutter into the cookie to recreate the shape.
- We put the leftover cookie edges in a bowl and tossed them with powdered sugar and my blonde sweet girl called them cookie curls!
- When the cookies are completely cooled decorate with frosting, sprinkles, and M&Ms!
- Yields: 24 big hearts and 15 small hearts
- Enjoy!
