I am so excited about my {blueberry pie filling} that I keep thinking of all the wonderful things I can pair it with! Banana cream pie came to mind and I love the way that this creamy, fruit, sweet dessert turned out! Bananas are a huge thing in our home and we enjoy them for breakfast, lunch, after dinner, in smoothies, banana bread and now in this blueberry banana cream pie!
The sweet freshness of the {blueberry pie filling} really kicks this pie up a notch and makes you want to go for that second helping!
Blueberry Banana Cream Pie
Ingredients
- 1 already made graham cracker crust
- 5.1-ounce box banana cream pudding
- 2 cups-2% or whole milk
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup {blueberry pie filling}
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat together pudding and 2 cups of milk. Place in fridge.
- In a smaller bowl, beat together heavy cream and sugar until it makes very thick whipped cream.
- Take ¼ cup of cream and save for garnish
- Fold the whipped cream into the pudding.
- With your spatula draw a line down the middle of your bowl.
- Take one half and spread it on the bottom of the crust.
- Take blueberry pie filling and very carefully spread on top of pudding.
- Slice bananas and spread out evenly over the blueberry pie filling.
- Take the remaining pudding and spread over top the bananas. It will begin to rise over the crust-no worries, there’s lots of good stuff packed in-just be careful when slicing!
- Garnish with whipped cream rosettes or serve with a spoonful of whipped cream on top.
- Refrigerate for 3 hours before serving!
- Enjoy 🙂
