Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday! As a child, it was special because I was born on Thanksgiving and so there was always a lot of celebrating. As a college student, it was the first time all of my childhood friends would come home and we got a chance to catch up! As an adult, I experience both of these things! 🙂
The reminiscing of old memories and the making of new ones around the holidays brings a smile to my face!
The aroma of the kitchen, the little personal touches made for the table setting, the gifts we give to say thank you, and the decorations of Thanksgiving remind me of just how blessed we are.
Featured here are seven Thanksgiving dishes and delights we are enjoying this year! Our favorite Thanksgiving side dish has creamy sweet potatoes, a sugar nutty layer, and golden brown marshmallows! We make a double batch of this sweet potato casserole to make sure that there’s enough to go around! For our table this year we are adding edible table cards! These Pumpkin OREO cookie balls are the perfect way to let everyone know where they are sitting! A plateful of these sweet pumpkins also looks great as the centerpiece! Right before Thanksgiving break we are handing out these I Am Thankful For You Candles to our neighbors, teachers and coaches just to say thank you for all that they do!We are serving a bowlful of these crunchy, munchy cornucopia snacks before the big meal is served! These are a fun and festive way to celebrate Thanksgiving! We love Thanksgiving decor! We fill our home with pumpkins, gourds, and framed poems like this one! This Count Your Blessing poem adds a nice touch to our fall decor!
For breakfast and dessert, we serve our favorite sweet bread! Tart cranberries and citrusy orange come together to make this moist, flavorful Cranberry Orange Bread!Creamy, cheesy Macaroni and Cheese is our kids favorite comfort food and a must serve dish on Thanksgiving!

These are great. I’m totally going to make the pumpkin cookies for a school treat for my grade schooler’s class. So adorable, and for once, not a turkey… everything is a turkey.
Thanks for sharing!
